Love Scout fame Lee Jun-hyuk to play detective in new mystery series; to reunite with Stranger co-star Shin Hae-sun

Stranger Season 1 co-stars Lee Jun-hyuk and Shin Hae-sun are all set to be seen in the upcoming mystery series, The Art of Sarah (working title). After gaining fame for his role in Love Scout, Jun-hyuk is now gearing up for the mystery drama, for which the makers have confirmed the production.

On January 22, Netflix K-content confirmed the production of the mystery drama, The Art of Sarah, on their Instagram account and revealed its cast during the script reading session, featuring Shin Hae-sun and Lee Jun-hyuk.

The makers also shared pictures of the lead actors from the script reading session and it received a lot of love from K-drama lovers.

All about The Art of Sarah

The Art of Sarah (working title) tells the story of Sarah Kim (Shin Hae-sun), whose name is everywhere yet can’t be found anywhere. On the other hand, a persistent detective (Lee Jun-hyuk) dives deep into her different names, ages, jobs, and backgrounds. 

Hae-sun plays Sarah Kim, the director of a high-end luxury brand in Asia. Although her name is widely recognized, Sarah remains an elusive and mysterious figure. Set in the glittering world of the ultra-elite, the story follows Sarah as she unexpectedly becomes a suspect in a mysterious murder case. The drama explores her hidden past and secret identity.

Jun-hyuk takes on the role of Mu Gyeong, a sharp-eyed detective who relentlessly pursues the case, driving the story forward. As Gyeong investigates, he slowly uncovers the mystery surrounding Sarah, known by different names, ages, professions, and backgrounds.

Fans react to The Art of Sarah announcement

Reacting to the announcement, one fan wrote, "This is gonna be amazing when you know it's gonna be directed by the director of My Name and Extracurricular. Also, the fantastic pairing." Another commented, "They will work again? I love them both in Stranger." A third fan said, "OMG HAESUN X JUNHYUK SO EXCITED!!!"

The Art of Sarah is directed by Kim Jin-min (Extracurricular and My Name). The series' cinematographer is Joo Sang-lim and the editor is Nam Na-young of Squid Game. The costume designer for The Art of Sarah is Cho Sang-kyung.
