A week before the Love Next Door finale, Jung Hae-in's Seung-hyo and Jung So-min's Seok-ryu could be headed to a wedding. But, there’s a twist. Although they are dating, the two have not found an opportunity to inform their parents, also BFFs, yet. Thus, the parents suggest finding a bride and groom for their kids, without realizing that they are actually dating each other. The same story will take place in Love Next Door episode 13 tonight. A lunch date with Seok-ryu and Seung-hyo’s family
Seung-hyo's mother, Hye-sook, is at lunch with the neighbours - Seok-ryu and her family. Hye-sook (Jang Young-nam) informs them that she was anyway planning on ordering in. His father, Kyung-jong (Lee Seung-joon), apologizes, stating that they couldn't even rest properly when it all happened. Seok-ryu's mother, Mi-sook (Park Ji-young), states that it's alright since she also did not eat proper food around her husband Geun-sik (Jo Han-chul), who kept providing her with tteokbokki (he owns a tteokbokki shop). Geun-sik then informs the parents that the soup they are drinking is good for hangovers, too.
Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu’s wedding suggested
That is when Seung-hyo steps in and asks his parents how was their trip. They agreed that it was a great change. Kyung-jong even suggests going out with Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu together. That is when Mi-sook suggests a place that is lively. On seeing Kyung-jong confused, Hye-sook tells her husband the meaning is to get the kids married sooner so they can all go out together.
The real truth behind Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu's wedding suggestion
On hearing about their wedding, both Seung-hyo and Seok-ryu, who have just started dating, are shocked. Seung-hyo even asks, "Marriage?" out loud. Finally, Mi-sook clears the air by stating that she and Hye-sook are into matchmaking - finding a bride and groom for their kids. Hye-sook asks her husband to find good friends in the hospital, and Seung-hyo interrupts them by stating that nobody wants to take Seok-ryu with them. Hye-sook gets mildly furious upon hearing her son's thoughts. Mi-sook, too, is clearly angry as she asks Seung-hyo why is he putting Seok-ryu down like that. The usually silent Geun-sik is also annoyed at hearing so. Finally, Seung-hyo tries to clear the air, but Seok-ryu insults him too by stating that no woman will keep up with his temper.
