Love Mocktail 2’s Ide Swarga: Watch Aadi’s life turn around as Nidhi ‘returns’

When Love Mocktail 2 was ready for release, it’s maker, actor-director Darling Krishna was miserly with visuals from the film, so much so that he only released lyrical videos that had, at the most, images of him. Now that the film has had its theatrical run and is currently streaming on OTT, he has been releasing the full music videos of the film’s hit numbers. In recent weeks, he’s released Ninadena Januma, Ee Prema and Oh Nidhima and has followed that up with Ide Swarga now.

Composed by Nakul Abhyankar, Ide Swarga has been sung by Sanjith Hegde and features Krishna, Milana Nagaraj and Rachel David. Love Mocktail 2 picks up two years after the events of the original, where Krishna’s character Aadi loses his wife Nidhima (Milana) to cancer. Two years since, he’s still in mourning and depressed, unable to come to terms with this loss. But after a freak incident, he begins to imagine her presence with him, which forms a vital part of the narrative. How his version of Nidhima (a hallucination) changes the way he looks at life and begins to move on even, is what Love Mocktail 2 is all about.

Produced by Krishna and Milana, the film introduced Rachel David to Kannada cinema. It also starred Abhilash, Kushi Achar, Amrutha Iyengar, Giri Shivanna and Rachana Inder, among others, in pivotal roles. The film released two years after Love Mocktail and coincided with the first wedding anniversary of Krishna and Milana. The film released to warm response from critics and audiences, grossing over Rs 10 crore in its first week, with an overall total of close to 20-crore from its theatrical run. Both Love Mocktail and Love Mocktail 2 are currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
