Love Marriage actor Ankush: We can't always identify corrupt people around us

Ankush and Oindrila Sen’s film Love Marriage is released on the Bengali New Year. Directed by Premendu Bikash Chaki, the film also features Ranjit Mallick, Aparajita Adhya and others.

In an interview with Anandabazar Online, Ankush said that he thinks that promotion is important to reach the audience. The audience can watch any film and series on OTT platforms. Hence, promotion is crucial to attracting them to the cinema halls. In his words, those who are in the film must give importance to the promotion, otherwise, other people will not give importance to the film. The trolls say that Ankush and Oindrila are copying Dev and Rukmini. But Ankush clearly said that he is ready to learn from everyone. If he can learn something good, then there is no harm.

According to Oindrila, the protagonists are not them, but Ranjit Mullick and Aparajita Adhya. Ankush and Oindrila play two mature youngsters just like our next-door neighbors. Ankush said that he does not appear in a film irrespective of monetary offer if he does not like the script. Oindrila agrees. Do they get scared about Tollywood getting mixed up with corruption? Oindrila said that whenever she smells something fishy, she tells Ankush. Ankush also avoids the place then. But it is not possible for them to understand it every time.

In the interview, Ankush said, “Someone came to finance once, showing me a fake certificate of Kharagpur IIT. I later realized that he was a fraud. He talked about a crore of rupees, but there was only Rs 700 in his bank.” In Ankush's words, that time he could also be involved, but he saved himself. The duo said that their families stopped telling them about their marriage. They completely gave up.
