What is the documentary about?

As the name suggests, the documentary is an account of EU scammers. It traces the workings, and their whole trajectory, the rise and fall of the scammers who conned the carbon quota system and laid their hands on millions. Eventually however, the lot goes against each other too. The scam is related to carbon tax. Companies buy and sell the rights to pollute. And, the scammers, while not from illustrious backgrounds, scammed right into the system through a key loophole.

The trailer of the documentary peeks through the three scammers Mardouche Mouly, Arnaud Mimran and Sami Souied, their modus operandi of how they pulled off the ‘biggest heist in the century,’ the aftermath and the eventual fallout. For Arnaud, it’s all about having fun with the money. Sami Souied is revealed to be the logistics man. For the law enforcers, however, the biggest scam is described as ‘stealing from public resources’ which could have been otherwise put to concrete uses.
