After a wait of two years, Loki is returning with its second season on Disney+ Hotstar. The first episode of the new season will drop on October 5, 2023, much to the excitement of the fans who have been patient for a long time. After catching a glimpse of Tom Hiddleston in the titular role along with Owen Wilson in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, viewers will catch up with the God of Mischief after eight months.

A continuation of Loki's journey:

After the dramatic events of last season's finale, Loki returns for a second go-around with the Time Variance Authority. Loki, Mobius, Hunter B-15, and a cast of new and returning characters explore a perilous and expanding Multiverse in quest of Sylvie, Judge Renslayer, Miss Minutes, and the truth about what it means to be endowed with free will and a noble destiny.

A stellar lineup:

Tom Hiddleston is leading the cast, along with Sophia Di Martino, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Eugene Cordero, Rafael Casal, Tara Strong, Kate Dickie, Liz Carr, Neil Ellice, and Owen Wilson. Notably, the series also features Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conquerer and Ke Huy Quan, adding to the anticipation for intriguing character dynamics.

Loki Season 2 boasts an impressive lineup of executive producers, including industry heavyweights like Kevin Feige, Stephen Broussard, Louis D’Esposito, and Victoria Alonso, among others, while Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, along with Dan Deleeuw and Kasra Farahani, have directed the episodes of the series.

Phase Five will wrap up on November 9, 2023, with the premiere of the second season (also consisting of six episodes).

Recap of Season 1:

In the first season, a parallel Loki is hauled to the mysterious Time Variance Authority (TVA) after he steals the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame (2019). The TVA is an extradimensional bureaucratic institution that keeps tabs on the chronology. As a "time variant," Loki is threatened with oblivion unless he chooses between repairing the timeline and preventing an even greater danger. In his own personal criminal drama, Loki pursues a female doppelganger named Sylvie across time and space.
