Finally, the team of Thalapathy 67 has revealed the much-anticipated title of the Vijay-starrer. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj unveiled a three-minute promo video which has the star gearing up to face a bunch of goons in his chocolate shop in Kashmir.
The criminals arrive in several SUVs which are registered under Telangana, and Vijay, who is likely to be a former gangster, has made a deadly weapon to handle them. The intriguing promo is followed by the title Leo which comes along with the caption Bloody Sweet. Interestingly, the promo's beginning shots remind us of Vikram's promo video which was unveiled on Kamal Haasan's birthday in 2020.
Film lovers started comparing both the videos and expressed eagerness to watch the movie. The makers also revealed the film's release date, leaving everyone surprised. Leo will be released on October 19 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada.
There were speculations earlier that the project is an adapted version of David Cronenberg's A History of Violence which was released in 2005. After the release of the promo, it is more or less confirmed that Leo is Lokesh's version of the Hollywood movie.
Lalit Kumar is producing the movie along with Jagadish Palanisamy while Netflix has acquired its digital rights for a record price. Anbariv and Anirudh are in charge of action sequences and music respectively. Manoj Paramahamsa is handling cinematography for the film which has editing by Philomin Raj.
Billed as a pan Indian project, it stars Trisha, Arjun, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan and Priya Anand among others. Fans are now eagerly waiting to know if there are more updates from the team.
