Lokesh Kanagaraj’s second production venture titled Benz, Raghava Lawrence to star as lead

Director Lokesh Kanagaraj, who has churned hit film after another like Kaithi, Vikram and Leo, started his production house G Squad. On Sunday, on the occasion of Tamil New Year, the director unveiled his second production, titled Benz. The upcoming film stars Raghava Lawrence in the lead role.

Raghava Lawrence in Benz

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s production house G Squad made its debut with the film Fight Club, which was released last year. On Sunday, the banner announced that its second film is titled Benz. Choreographer-actor Raghava Lawrence will be headlining the film which will be written and helmed by filmmaker Bakkiyaraj Kannan. The director has previously made Remo and Sulthan.

The title poster shows a red helmet mask, similar to the Hollywood superhero Deadpool, which has the name Benz written on it. The phrase, “A warrior with a cause is the most dangerous soldier”, is written on the poster.

Benz has a story by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Details on the cast and technical crew of the film are yet to be revealed by the makers. The streaming rights of Benz are bagged by Netflix. Lokesh will be producing the film along with Passion Studios and The Route production banners.

Meanwhile, Lokesh, who last helmed Vijay-starrer Leo, will be next working with Rajinikanth in Thalaivar 171. The title of the film will be unveiled on April 22. Backed by Sun Pictures, the film has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. On the other hand, Raghava Lawrence was last seen in Karthik Subbaraj’s film Jigarthanda DoubleX, which was released last year.
