Fans of Rajinikanth, who were over the moon after Jailer scored a big success, had one more reason to smile when Sun Pictures announced that the Superstar is joining hands with Lokesh Kanagaraj for an action drama. The news was out when the director has been hitting the headlines regarding his forthcoming release Leo.

Director Lokesh, who started interacting with the media as part of promotional activities for Leo, revealed some interesting tidbits, leaving cinephiles excited. He said that Vijay listened to the story of Thalaivar 171 and that he liked it after 10 minutes of narration.
The filmmaker also added that he will begin pre-production works for the movie after Leo's release. The project is expected to go on floors in 2024. Earlier, the movie was rumoured to be the last film of Rajinikanth.

All eyes are now on the box office performance of Leo. Fans of Vijay hope that the film is likely to surpass Jailer's collection if it garners a positive response.
