Malik’s director Mahesh Narayanan had been vocal about how Kamal Haasan was one of the first few people with whom he had discussed the idea of doing Malik with Fahadh Faasil, and how Nayagan was one of the influences for the Mollywood movie. Now, Kamal has given his opinion on Malik after watching the film.

The movie’s producer Anto Joseph on Sunday shared that Kamal and Master director Lokesh Kanagaraj got to watch the movie with Fahadh and Mahesh during a break while filming for Vikram.

He said that Kamal and Lokesh lauded the Mollywood actor and director after watching the movie. “Kamal was all praise for Malik’s making and style of direction, and also commended Fahadh’s acting in the film,” wrote Anto. “Lokesh said that if the movie released in theatres, it would have reached ‘another level’.”

The team had watched the film at Kamal’s office in Chennai. Kamal and Fahadh are acting together for the first time in Lokesh’s Vikram, which also has Vijay Sethupathi in a lead role. The team had earlier released the poster of the trio that went viral.

Fahadh’s Malik, meanwhile, is streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The movie, which has him playing the protagonist Sulaiman Ali from the age of earlier 20s to 58, is a political thriller that also has Nimisha Sajayan, Vinay Forrt, Dinesh Prabhakar, Joju George and Dileesh Pothan in equally important roles.

Malik is touted to be the biggest Malayalam film in Fahadh’s career yet. The actor, apart from Vikram, will next be seen in Allu Arjun’s Pushpa and also in Malayankunju, which is produced by his father and veteran director Fazil.
