Actor Mansoor Ali Khan is in the eye of the storm ever since he made a crass comment on his Leo co-star and South Queen Trisha. While the Vidaamuyarchi actress lashed out at the actor, many others have also joined the bandwagon. The film's director Lokesh Kanagaraj has now responded to the controversy.

A recent video featuring Mansoor Ali Khan has now gone viral on social media. In the video, the actor is seen saying that he is upset that he didn't get to do a bedroom or rape scene with Trisha in Leo. Lokesh Kanagaraj took to his social media handle to condemn the statement of Mansoor Ali Khan.

He said, "Disheartened and enraged to hear the misogynistic comments made by Mr.Mansoor Ali Khan, given that we all worked in the same team. Respect for women, fellow artists and professionals should be a non-negotiable in any industry and I absolutely condemn this behaviour (sic)."

Trisha calls out Mansoor Ali Khan, says will never work with him

Trisha lashed out at the actor and said that his comment reeked of disgust and that it was extremely repulsive. Taking to her social media handle, Trisha wrote, "A recent video has come to my notice where Mr. Mansoor Ali Khan has spoken about me in a vile and disgusting manner.I strongly condemn this and find it sexist, disrespectful, misogynistic, repulsive and in bad taste.

He can keep wishing but I am grateful never to have shared screen space with someone as pathetic as him and I will make sure it never happens for the rest of my film career as well. People like him bring a bad name to mankind (sic)."

Mansoor Ali Khan had made a similar statement during Leo's successful launch

It is to be noted that the actor had made a similar statement during the success meet of Leo. He had said that when he heard that Leo featured Trisha, he immediately accepted the film. But the team didn't even let him get near her. Then I thought, I would get at least a scene with Madonna 'papa' (child). I thought I could play with her, but then I heard that she was playing the sister." The statement had made Madonna extremely uncomfortable.
