Lock Upp: Munawar Faruqui, Anjali Arora clarify they are ‘just friends’, there is ‘no love triangle’

Kangana Ranaut’s show Lock Upp has indeed become one of the most controversial shows in India recently. It sparked several controversies and rumours and one of them was about the close bond shared by the two contestants Anjali Arora and Munawar Faruqui. The two were seen getting close, leading to several speculations that they are more than ‘just friends’. However, the two have clarified about their relationship and put all the rumours to rest when they disclosed their respective partners. Munawar shared that he has a girlfriend, Nazila and Anjali, also shared that she is in a relationship with Akash.

Recently, Anjani explained to ETimes how her boyfriend Aakash felt, seeing her and Munawar get close on the show. According to her, her boyfriend felt jealous when he saw his girlfriend bonding with another man and that she perfectly understands this behaviour. She said it is "a normal thing and human nature." She appreciated her boyfriend saying that he is mature enough to understand and manage any situation.

In an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, she also cleared the confusion about the relationship between her and Munawar. She said that there is no love triangle between them and that she is also friends with one of Munawar's close friends.

She went on to discuss how she met Munawar's girlfriend Nazila during Lock Upp's success party. She said there was no discomfort between them and she was quite delighted to meet her. She thought she was a very cute woman. She said, "There is no such thing as a love triangle. They are both quite happy together. May God continue to bless them. Munawar and I have a genuine friendship bond."

Munawar had also discussed how his friendship with Anjali affected his relationship with Nazila. According to the comedian, it was difficult for his girlfriend to witness his close friendship with Anjali on the show but she understands and supports him nonetheless.

Munawar Faruqui became one of the most popular Lock Upp participants and ultimately won the trophy. The show, which had its finale recently, can be streamed on MX Player and AltBalaji.
