The sixth edition of the reality show, hosted by Kamal Haasan, kicked off at 6pm today

The sixth edition of the popular reality show, Bigg Boss Tamil, began with a bang a while ago as Kamal Haasan returned as the host for the sixth time around and flaunted his handlebar moustache which he is donning for director Shankar's upcoming film Indian 2. He opened the house with a key and took the audience on a tour inside the house. The schedule of the show had gone for a toss after the pandemic and hence, fans are excited that the show is back in a more colourful and vibrant house.
The first participant of the show is the social media sensation GP Muthu, who is known for his Tirunelveli accent and his unique sense of humour. The Tiktok sensation says that he is scared to be alone in the house. Kamal Haasan plays a prank on him saying that he will have to wait for a day until the next set of contetsants arrive.
The second contestant is Asal Kolaar, a rapper from Kasimedu, Chennai. Kamal Haasan says that he is an ardent supporter of indie music.
Kamal Haasan talks about inclusivity in the house and enters the third contestant, transgender model Shivin Ganesan. She talks about the trials and tribulations faced by the transgender community.
The fourth contestant of the show is TV actor Mohamed Azeem. A single parent, Azeem, says that his only worry is not being able to spend time with his son during his stint in the house.
Choreographer Robert Master is the fifth contestant of the season. He tells that he will not change himself for other contestants and will be himself.
Television actress Aysha, who faced many struggles before taking the plunge into the industry, is the sixth contestant of the house. She says that she has come with a blank mind and that hopes that the show will change her life.
Model Sherina is the seventh contestant of the house. She states that she has come this far without any background in modelling. She calls herself an ardent fitness enthusiast and that she wants to break her emotional side on the show.
Television actor Manikanta Rajesh is the next contestant on the show. His sister actress Aishwarya Rajesh joins the show on a video call from France and says that she will miss him. She also wishes the entire team the very best.
Television actress Rachita Mahalakshmi is the ninth contestant on the show. She talks about her journey from the Kannada television industry to the Tamil television industry.
Ram Ramasamy is the tenth contestant of the house. A former cricketer, Ram, says that an injury made him take the modelling route. He says that he has always been non-committal as a person and hopes to find a 'good friend' in the house.
Sri Lankan rapper ADK is the next contestant of the house. He says that though he has sung many popular songs, it was his song Soorangani that made him come to Tamil Nadu, and eventually to the show.
Sri Lankan presenter Janany enters the house. She says that it has always been her dream to be part of the Bigg Boss house. Her Sri Lankan Tamil accent has already won many fans and looks like Janany Army is in the offing.
Popular dance choreographer Shanthi enters the Bigg Boss house. She talks about the struggles she faced as a dancer and how she overcame the same and emerged as s strong person. She says that the money that she earns from the house, will be a huge support to her struggling family.
Viduthalai Siruthaigal Katchi member Vikraman is the next contesant of the season. An ardent follower of Periyarand Babasaheb Amedkar, he hopes to take their teachings to a larger audience through the show. He is also the first politician to enter the house and hence, he will be a contestant to watch out for.
Amudhavanan wears many hats - that of a dancer,comedian, mimicry artiste and actor. He also trains many aspiring mimicry aspirants. The multi-talented Amudhavanan says that he never got his much-deserved recognition despite all his efforts and hopes to change the same with the show.
Popular television actress Maheshwari is the sixteenth contestant on the show. She says that she has been ready for the show ever since it released and is excited to be standing alongside Kamal Haasan.
VJ Kathirravan, the next contestant of the house, tells Kamal Haasan that as an anchor, he has always wanted to interview the show's host Kamal Haasan, but never got an opportunity to do so. He says that he will try his best to entertain everyone. He also announced his maiden film as a lead actor on stage.
Queency, an actress from Coimbatore, the 18th contestant on the show, says that she is ready to face whatever is thrown at her in the house. Calling herself an introvert, she says that she would like to be herself on the show and enjoy being a contestant
Singapore-based Nivaa is the 19th contestant on the show. She says that she enjoyed doing business and later tried her hand at assistant direction for a web series.She says that she will go into the house open-minded and fight it out there.
Erode-based Dhanalakshmi, the last contestant on the show, is an aspiring actor who is looking for recognition and is using the Bigg Boss platform for the same.
