Upcoming Telugu thrillers to watch in 2025

In 2024, the Telugu industry has given films such as Pushpa 2: The Rule, Hanu-Man, Lucky Baskhar, and many more that have received love from the audience as well as critics. This year also has several Telugu films in store for us and the below-mentioned list consists of upcoming Telugu thrillers of 2025 such as Hit: The 3rd Case, Goodachari 2, and more. 

Upcoming Telugu thrillers in 2025

Hit: The 3rd Case

Directed by Sailesh Kolanu, Hit: The 3rd Case is the third instalment of the Hit franchise. Starring Nani in the main role, the film is backed by Wall Poster Cinema and Unanimous Productions. The film features Srinidhi Shetty as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Nani. Sanu John Varghese is the cinematographer, while Mickey J Meyer scores the music. Karthika Srinivas R is the editor, and Sri Nagendra Tangala is the production designer. Meanwhile, the film is scheduled for release on May 1, 2025.

Goodachari 2

Adivi Sesh is currently filming the second part of Goodachari. The first part was a super hit at the Telugu box office. The project recently hit the headlines when the original female lead, Shruti Haasan, walked out due to unknown reasons. The makers brought Mrunal Thakur in her place. The latest update revealed that Wamiqa Gabbi has been cast in the role of another female lead. She plays Agent 116, an action-packed role. 

Vishwambhara

Directed by Mallidi Vassishta and produced by UV Creations, Vishwambhara stars Chiranjeevi, Trisha, Kunal Kapoor, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Ashika Ranganath in lead roles. The music was composed by MM Keeravaani, while the cinematography was done by Chota K Naidu and it is edited by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao and Santhosh Kamireddy. The film will be released in 2025. 

Mirai

Mirai, the upcoming Telugu thriller, stars Teja Sejja in the lead role. The film is backed by Telugu production house People Media Factory and is being helmed by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Karthik Gattamneni. The makers also released a glimpse video, teasing the film’s subject, which is based on King Ashoka and his Secret 9. Meanwhile, Mirai will hit theatres on April 18, 2025. 

Ghaati

Anushka Shetty is all set to join hands with filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi for Ghaati after the success of Vedam. The film will showcase Anushka in a never-before-seen avatar. She plays a fearless woman with plenty of action sequences. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, the upcoming film is presented by UV Creations and produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi. The film is all set to hit theatres on April 18, 2025.

VD12

Vijay Deverakonda is teaming up with Jersey fame director Gowtam Tinnanuri for his 14th outing in the Telugu cinema. The project, which is tentatively titled VD12, has been under production for quite some time now. The untitled project is slated to hit the big screens in March 2025. In the poster shared by the makers, Vijay is seen in his signature angry youth avatar, building anticipation for the film.
