Thug Life
Thug Life is the most-awaited collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam since Nayakan. The action-packed gangster drama is scheduled to be released in theaters on June 5, 2025. The release date was announced on Kamal Haasan's 70th birthday, November 7, 2024. Meanwhile, the film was originally planned for release in the last quarter of 2024. The music director of the film is AR Rahman.

Coolie
The release date for the film Coolie is expected to be May 1, 2025. The film is a gangster action movie starring Rajinikanth and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. It will be released in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada. Coolie is Rajinikanth’s 171th outing as lead actor and will mark his first collaboration with Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Thalapathy 69
The movie Thalapathy 69 is scheduled to be released in theaters in October 2025. The film is expected to be released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada. As per reports, the leading actor, Vijay, is expected to wrap up his portions by April 2025. The movie is directed by H Vinoth and stars Vijay, Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, and Mamitha Baiju.
Vidaamuyarchi
Vidaamuyarchi is an action thriller film starring Ajith Kumar and helmed by Magizh Thirumeni. The highly anticipated Tamil film, Vidaamuyarchi, was originally set to hit theaters on January 10. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, the release has been delayed.
Nesippaya
Directed by Vishnuvardhan, Nesippaya is scheduled to be released in theatres on 14 January 2025 coinciding with Pongal. The film stars Akash Murali and Aditi Shankar. It is produced by S. Xavier Britto. Meanwhile, the film has been certified U/A by the Central Board of Film Certification.
Sardar 2
The release date for Sardar 2, the sequel to the 2022 spy thriller Sardar, is yet to be announced. The film is directed by PS Mithran and stars Karthi. The work on the sequel is expected to continue until January 2025. Yuvan Shankar Raja is the music composer for the film.
Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2
The release date for Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is January 30, 2025. The film is an action thriller directed by S.U. Arun Kumar and starring Chiyaan Vikram, Dushara Vijayan, SJ Suryah, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The teaser shows Vikram's character as a sympathetic family man but also reveals a dark side.
