The Indian Army rejects Chitti for not being able to make human-like decisions, hence, Vaseegaran destroys Chitti with a sledgehammer. However, Chitti is later manipulated by a rival scientist, Dr. Bohra, who reprograms Chitti to be evil. Thus, Chitti turns against Vaseegaran and becomes a threat to the world.
