Sivaji: The Boss is one of the most acclaimed films of Rajinikanth. His iconic sunglasses flips became a trend among fans. The plot of the film follows Shivaji, a successful software engineer from the US, who returned to India to establish a non-profit trust that provides free education and medical care to the poor. However, he faced obstacles from a corrupt political leader and civil service. The film was a huge success.

Enthiran is another hit movie by Rajinikanth. The plot follows Dr. Vaseegaran (Rajinikanth) creating a robot named Chitti (also Rajinikanth) to help humanity. However, Chitti falls in love with Vaseegaran's girlfriend, Sana (Aishwarya Rai). The Indian Army rejects Chitti for not being able to make human-like decisions, hence, Vaseegaran destroys Chitti with a sledgehammer. However, Chitti is later manipulated by a rival scientist, Dr. Bohra, who reprograms Chitti to be evil. Thus, Chitti turns against Vaseegaran and becomes a threat to the world.
