The upcoming year, 2025 has a lot of web series stored for us such as Paatal Lok Season 2, The Family Man Season 3, Aryan Khan's directorial debut, and more.
Most-awaited Hindi OTT releases of 2025
Paatal Lok Season 2
The makers of Paatal Lok delighted the fans of the series with the announcement of a second season. Starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Gul Panag, Season 2 will also be released on January 17 on Amazon Prime Video.
The Family Man Season 3
The third season of one of the most loved web series, The Family Man, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, and Sharib Hashmi, is set to stream in 2025. Manoj recently shared that they have wrapped up the third season of the hit Prime Video show. Teasing the release date, Bajpayee said, "Ek lamba chauda time hota hai, mere khayal hai ke aagle Diwali ke aas-paas aa jane chahiye. (Post-production takes a long time. I think the new season will arrive around Diwali 2025)."
Aryan Khan's untitled directorial debut
Shah Rukh Khan's son, Aryan Khan's unnamed directorial debut is set to release in 2025. The show will be produced by Gauri Khan while it will be created and directed by Aryan Khan.
Announcing the project, Netflix captioned it, “This 2025, Netflix and Red Chillies Entertainment come together for a one-of-a-kind Bollywood series produced by Gauri Khan, created and directed by Aryan Khan."
The Roshans
Hrithik Roshan, Rakesh Roshan, and Rajesh Roshan's docu-series, The Roshans will be released on January 17, 2025, on Netflix. The series promises to take the audience on a journey through the Roshans' lives, struggles, and wins.
Delhi Crime Season 3
The first two seasons of Delhi Crime received immense love from fans. The third season of the Shefali Shah-led series is likely to be released next year. Times Of India had earlier reported that the filming of the third season began and was likely to explore the theme of human trafficking. The report also mentioned that the series might be released in mid-2025 in a two-part series. Along with Shefali Shah and Rasika Duggal, the third season will also feature actress Huma Qureshi.
Black Warrant
Vikramaditya Motwane's upcoming web series, Black Warrant marks the debut of Shashi Kapoor's grandson Zahan Kapoor. It will premiere on Netflix on January 10, 2025. The series also stars Paramvir Singh Cheema, Anurag Thakur, and Sidhant Gupta in key roles. The plot will focus on the harsh realities of India's most infamous prison, Tihar Jail.
The Trial Season 2
Kajol starrer The Trial which was released in 2023, is likely to make a comeback with season 2. Earlier, in October 2024, the behind-the-scenes images shared by ZoomTV showed Kajol shooting for the series dressed in a lawyer's attire. The photo also showed her along with veteran actor Asrani.
Dabba Cartel
Dabba Cartel includes a stellar cast including Shabana Azmi, Jyotika, Farhan Akhtar, Nimisha Sajayan, Anjali Anand, Gajraj Rao, Sai Tamhankar, Lillete Dubey, and Jisshu Sengupta. The series was announced in February 2024 and was expected this year. However, there is no official release date yet, but it is expected to premiere in 2025.
Matka King
Starring Vijay Varma in the lead role along with Kritika Kamra, Sai Tamhakar, and Gulshan Grover in key roles, this series is about an enterprising cotton trader in Mumbai who starts a new gambling game called Matka and is likely to be released on Amazon Prime Video in 2025.
