Mammootty is the busiest actor in Malayalam cinema right now and has a massive line-up of exciting projects in his kitty. The megastar, who had a fantastic year in theatres in 2024, is stepping into 2025 on a higher note. The veteran actor is teaming up with some of the finest filmmakers in the industry, for his upcoming projects.
Mammootty films to watch out for in 2025:
Dominic And The Ladies' Purse
Mammootty is joining hands with senior filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon, for the latter’s Malayalam directorial debut. The project, titled Dominic And The Ladies' Purse, is touted to be a crime comedy. The megastar plays the titular character Dominic, a lazy yet sharp detective in the film, which features Gokul Suresh in a key role. Dominic And The Ladies' Purse is expected to hit the theatres on January 23, 2025.
Mammootty-Mohanlal project by Mahesh Narayanan
Mammootty is all set to join hands with Mohanlal after a very long gap, for the upcoming project directed by Mahesh Narayanan. The megastar is set to play the central character in the film, which has been tentatively titled MMMN. Mohanlal is set to play a full-fledged character in the film, which stars Fahadh Faasil and Kunchacko Boban, in the pivotal roles. MMMN is expected to hit the theatres by the second half of 2025.
The Jithin K Jose project
Mammootty is joining hands with newcomer Jithin K Jose for an upcoming untitled crime thriller film. The movie, which reportedly features the veteran actor in a full-fledged negative avatar, stars popular actor Vinayakan in a pivotal role. The project, produced by the leading man himself, under his home banner Mammootty Kampany, is expected to hit the big screens during the summer of 2025.

Bazooka
Mammootty is teaming up with newcomer Deeno Dennis for the upcoming game thriller, titled Bazooka. The movie, which stars popular filmmaker-turned-actor Gautham Vasudev Menon in a pivotal role, was originally supposed to hit the theatres in September 2024. However, the much-awaited film is now delayed indefinitely due to some undisclosed production issues. If the reports are to be believed, Bazooka will hit the theatres by the second half of 2025.
Mammootty-Amal Neerad project
As per the reports, Mammootty is gearing up to reunite with hitmaker Amal Neerad for a new project, in 2025. Even though the actor-director duo’s long-delayed film Bilal is not shelved, they are planning to reunite for another project before kickstarting the Big B sequel. According to the grapevine, Mammootty and Amal Neerad are planning to officially announce the project, once the script is locked.
