Films with a star-studded ensemble cast have always been crowd-pullers at the cinemas as fans are delighted to see their favourite actors sharing screen space together. Malayalam films have also delivered several multi-starrers with Twenty:20 being the biggest in terms of the number of stars it featured. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal’s hit film Lucifer is also another multi-starrer that was also a blockbuster hit. Another Malayalam multi-starrer Empuraan is slated to hit theatres soon.

Directed by Joshiy, this action thriller film featured who’s who of the Malayalam industry, the first of its kind. Mohanlal and Mammootty led this film which also had Suresh Gopi, Jayaram, Dileep, Bhavana, Kavya Madhavan, and Indrajith Sukumaran, among several other names. Retired SC judge Vishwanathan is startled to learn that one of his grandsons, Arun, who is in a medical college, is accused of killing a classmate.
Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jayasurya and Indrajith Sukumaran came together for this entertainer, directed by Nadirshah. Namitha Pramod is also a part of the ensemble cast which included names such as Siddique, Kalabhavan Shajohn, Meenakshi Anoop, Srindha, K. P. A. C. Lalitha, Bindu Panicker, and Kottayam Pradeep. The film follows three friends, named Amar, Akbar and Anthony, from Kochi.
Mohanlal headlined the 2019 hit film Lucifer, which marked the directorial debut of Prithviraj Sukumaran who is also a part of the ensemble cast along with Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Vivek Oberoi, Indrajith Sukumaran. Mohanlal appears as Stephen Nedumpally, a loyal supporter of the Chief Minister whose death sparks a power struggle in the state politics.
After his father is killed by Vasco da Gama's troops in Kerala, Kelu vows revenge. His trusted friend Vavvali and warrior princess Ayesha help him in his quest. Prithviraj Sukumaran stars in the lead role in this film, directed by Santosh Sivan, along with Prabhu Deva. Genelia D'Souza, Nithya Menon, Vidya Balan, and Jagathy Sreekumar play the other key roles.
Aashiq Abu roped in a host of stars, including Kunchacko Boban, Indrajith Sukumaran, Tovino Thomas, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Asif Ali, Poornima Indrajith, Revathi and Rahman for this film, which narrated the events following the deadly Nipah virus outbreak in northern Kerala. The Hindi-dubbed version of Virus can be streamed on Zee5 and OTTplay Premium.
