It follows Chirakkal Kelu Nayanar, a 16th-century warrior from Kerala who seeks revenge for his father killed in an encounter with Vasco da Gama and his soldiers and is aided by his best friend Bhavvali and the warrior princess Ayesha. The cast also follows Vidya Balan in a key role.

It tells the story of Nallasivam and Anbarasu, two individuals with contrasting personalities who embark on an unexpected journey from Bhubaneswar to Chennai.
