Chennaiyil Oru Naal is a thriller film directed by Shaheed Kader and a remake of the Malayalam film Traffic. Chennaiyil Oru Naal stars Sarathkumar, Cheran, Prasanna, Prakash Raj, Radhika Sarathkumar, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Iniya, Sachin Mani, Aishwarya Devan and Gabriella Charlton.

Chennai 600028 is a sports drama based on cricket. The title of the film refers to the Mandeveli area’s pin code in Chennai. Directed by Venkat Prabhu in his debut, the film revolves around the rivalry between two cricketing teams in the neighbourhood. The film features Jai, Premgi, Shiva, Vijayalakshmi, Arvind Akash, and others. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music.

Madrasapattinam - Prime

Directed by filmmaker Vijay, Madrasapattinam stars Arya and Amy Jackson in the lead roles. The film is a period romantic drama set during the pre-Independence era. Then called Madrasapattinam, the film explores the city through a love story that brews between a washerman and a British girl. It also takes inspiration from the Hollywood film Titanic in how the star-crossed lovers navigate through the challenges imposed on them. GV Prakash has scored the music for the film.

Madras - Disney+ Hotstar

Pa Ranjith’s Madras is headlined by Karthi. The film is set in the northern suburbs of Chennai. It revolves around a wall which is a case of contention between two parties. The film takes the perspective of two youngsters who are political aspirants. Madras also stars Kalaiyarasan, Catherine Tresa, Charles Vinoth, Riythvika, V. I. S. Jayapalan, Poster Nandakumar and Mime Gopi, among others.

Vada Chennai - Disney+ Hotstar, SonyLIV

Vada Chennai is a gangster action drama headlined by Dhanush. The film is directed by Vetrimaaran and stars Ameer, Samuthirakani, Aishwarya Rajesh, Andrea Jeremiah, Kishore and others. The film revolves around a carrom player Anbu, who gets embroiled in a gang war. This results in a series of events where various men get involved in a chain of deceit and violence.
