Hoichoi was scheduled to make its slate announcement in August-September. According to sources, the Bengali OTT platform postponed their event due to the RG Kar incident. Now, they have announced a series of shows featuring some of the biggest stars, including, Mimi Chakraborty, Anirban Bhattacharya, Chiranjeet Chakraborty, Swastika Mukherjee, and others. From mysteries to modern adaptations of timeless classics – there seems to be something for everyone. Here’s a sneak peek into the offerings.
A modern take on Shakespeare’s iconic Romeo and Juliet, this adaptation unfolds in the fictional town of Talma, exploring love, deceit, and tragedy from a different perspective. The creative director Anirban Bhattacharya launches two newcomers in the iconic roles of Romeo and Juliet, and an ensemble cast of veterans promises a praiseworthy contemporary twist on the timeless tale.
