Kaththi is one of the most celebrated action thrillers in Vijay’s career. Nerrukku Ner - Aha

Nerrukku Ner is a 1997 drama thriller, starring Vijay and Suriya in the lead roles. The film revolves around a couple who share a hearing-impaired daughter. However, as they separate, certain anti-social elements take revenge by kidnapping their daughter. It is up to the brothers of the couple to save the day. Nerrukku Ner is directed by Vasanth and also stars Kausalya, Simran, Raghuvaran, Shanthi Krishna, Baby Jennifer, Karan, Vivek, Manivannan and Prakash Raj.

Thuppakki - Aha

Thuppakki is a 2012 Tamil film, starring Vijay in the lead role under AR Murugadoss' directorial. The film also features Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyan, Vidyut Jammwal, Jayaram, Manobala and Zakir Hussain in supporting roles. Thuppakki is about a military man who comes back to Mumbai to meet his family, only to realise that there is an army of sleeper cells activated by a terrorist gang to destroy the city. Thuppakki became a commercial success upon its release, and Vijay's dialogue "I'm waiting" went on to become iconic.

Beast - SunNXT

Beast is an action thriller featuring Vijay as former spy who suffers from PTSD. The film is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Beast revolves around a shopping mall which is held hostage by a terrorist party. One of those stranded happen to be Vijay’ Veera Raghavan, who has to not only rescue himself but the people around him as well. Pooja Hegde, Selvaraghavan, Shaji Chen, VTV Ganesh, Ankur Vikal, Aparna Das, Sathish Krishnan, Shine Tom Chacko, Yogi Babu and Redin Kingsley play the supporting characters.

Thalaivaa - Aha

Thalaivaa is an action thriller directed by AL Vijay. The film revolves around a man in Sydney who is running a small business. However, he is unaware that his father is a gangster in Mumbai. After he gets killed, the son has to take up the crime empire built by his father and also avenge his death. Sathyaraj, Amala Paul, Santhanam, Abhimanyu Singh, Ragini Nandwani, Nassar, Rajeev Pillai, Chaitanya Krishna and Namo Narayana play important roles in Thalaivaa.
