The Telugu film, Eeswar, will be shown on a big screen again after 22 years of its theatrical debut during this season of film re-releases. It has been confirmed that the action drama, which is directed by Jayanth C Paranjee, will have a theatrical release on October 23, on the occasion of Prabhas' birthday.
Eeswar streaming on Sun NXT
Prabhas and Sridevi Vijaykumar played the movie's lead roles. Viewers can see Eeswar on Sun NXT as well. Siva Krishna, Dheeraj Krishna Nori, Hanumanthu, and Revathi appear in supporting roles in it. Prabhas, the nephew of Telugu superstar Krishnam Raju, made his acting debut with this movie. It failed to, however, establish him as a sufficiently popular figure until the 2004 theatrical launch of his box office hit, Varsham, which also starred Trisha Krishnan.
The action drama revolves around Eeswar, a youngster whose mother passed away and despises his father for getting married again. He gets into trouble after falling in love with the daughter of a local politician.
Prabhas' recent film, Kalki 2898 AD, which also featured Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shobana, is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video in South Indian languages as well as on Netflix in Hindi.
Recent Telugu re-releases in 2024
In the meantime, August 9 saw the re-release of Murari, one of Mahesh Babu's greatest successes and a box office blockbuster when it was first released in 2001. The movie opened to a resounding reception from viewers all throughout the state, and the advance bookings were booming.
The socio-fantasy aspect of the family drama significantly benefitted the movie's box office performance. The film's female lead is Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre, and her chemistry with Mahesh is still praised by the viewers. If you were not able to see the movie in theatres, Sun NXT offers Murari for streaming.
Meanwhile, Dhanush and Shruti Haasan's romantic drama, 3, will be shown on big screens once again on September 14.
