Best Shankar films to stream before Indian 2 hits theatres

Filmmaker S Shankar is currently working on two prestigious projects. While one stars Ram Charan and is multi-lingual titled Game Changer, the other is the upcoming Kamal Haasan-starrer Indian 2. The latter is set to release on July 12. Shankar, who is known for his grandiose and larger-than-life filmmaking, has made some iconic Tamil films in the past. In order to make medical facilities and education free, the hero has to face hurdles from corrupt politicians and business magnets. The film was a blockbuster success. It also features Shriya Saran, Vivek, Suman, Sathyan, Manivannan, and Raghuvaran among others.

Jeans - Aha

Cast: Prashanth, Aishwarya Rai, Nasser

Jeans is headlined by Prashanth and Aishwarya Rai. The romantic drama which is set against the backdrop of the US and India is about twin brothers and their father who is adamant about marrying them to twin sisters only. After one of them falls in love with a girl from India, the girl’s side fakes a twin sister in order to make the father accept their marriage. The film also stars Nasser, Lakshmy, Radhika Sarathkumar, Senthil and others.

Anniyan - SunNXT

Cast: Vikram, Sadha, Prakash Raj

Anniyan is a vigilante action drama, starring Vikram. The actor plays the role of Ambi, a strict man from an orthodox household who abides by the rules. However, after he sees failure in the corrupt society and love life, he develops split personalities that take up the job of cleansing the society and wooing his lady love respectively. The film also features Sadha, Vivekh, Prakash Raj and others.

Enthiran - SunNXT

Enthiran is a science fiction film, starring Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles. After a scientist develops a robot that talks and acts like a human, he soon discovers that after a point the robot is acting on a mind of its own, causing destruction to the world rather than saving it.

Boys - SunNXT

Cast: Siddharth, Genelia, Vivekh

Boys is a coming-of-age drama which stars Siddharth, Genelia D’Souza, Thaman, Bharath, Vivekh and others. The film is about a group of youngsters who try to make it on their own after being disowned by their parents after one of them elopes and gets married to a girl of his choice.
