Directed by Nagraj Manjule, the 2016 romantic drama tells the tale of two young college students from different castes who fall in love, creating tension between their families. Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar star in this film in their debut roles. Akash plays Parshya, who is from a lower caste and whose father works as a fisherman. He leads the neighborhood cricket team and performs well academically. Rinku Rajguru plays Archi, who is the daughter of an upper-class politician. They fall in love and find ways to spend time together while they are in college.

The Marathi period drama stars Ketaki Mategaonkar, Medha Manjrekar, Savita Malpekar, Priya Bapat, and Sachin Khedekar. The head of the family, Hari Damle arranges his brother Mahadev's marriage to a young girl. But Mahadev passes away before the marriage is consummated.
