Nammavar

Nammavar is about a history teacher at a college and how he tries to help the college overcome its unfortunate status and the consequences he faces through it. Directed by KS Sethumadhavan, the film also stars Gautami, Nagesh, Senthil, Kovai Sarala, Srividya and Karan, among others. The film is said to have taken inspiration from multiple Hollywood movies like To Sir, with Love (1967), Class of 1984 (1982) and The Principal (1987).

Japanil Kalyanaraman

Japanil Kalyanaraman is a 1985 film directed by SP Muthuraman and is a romantic comedy starring Kamal Haasan, Radha, Sathyaraj, VK Ramasamy, and others. It serves as the first sequel to Tamil cinema and as a follow-up to the 1975 film Kalyanaraman. The film revolves around a journalist who faces hurdles to do an expose and travels to Japan to buy equipment to open his own press.

Singaravelan

Singaravelan is about a protagonist who comes to Chennai in search of his estranged childhood cousin, whom he is not aware of now. His dreams of finding and marrying her are aided by his group of city friends. The film is directed by RV Udayakumar and stars Kamal Haasan, Vadivelu, Mano, Khushbu and others.

Neeya

Neeya is a horror thriller film directed by Durai and written by P Kalaimani. The film revolves around a shape-shifting snake who seeks revenge on a group of people who killed its lover. The film stars Kamal Haasan, Jai Ganesh, Vijayakumar, Ravichandran, Srikanth, MN Nambiar, Sripriya, Manjula, Deepa, Latha, Chandra Mohan and others.
