Kalki 2898 AD has turned out to be a monster of a film at the box office and has managed to surpass every expectation with flying colors. The movie has managed to re-establish Prabhas in the Pan-India circle after the dent that was made by Adipurush and partially healed by Salaar: Part 1. But turns out the Kalki Tsunami, while giving a lot of validation to the makers and team of the film has turned out to be a tension for the makers of other tentpole movies that were set to release around it. Indian 2 is much beyond these games, but we have recently seen Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha pushing its release date to August 2 from July 5. However, rumor had been that even Akshay Kumar’s Sarfira would want to move away from the wave, and is getting postponed. But turns out it isn't true.

The makers are taking the help of the internet in a big way as they focus on the music album and other promotional material. The movie that is the remake of Soorarai Pottru and stars Kumar in Suriya’s place and Radhika Madan as the female lead. Now as the movie is set for a July 12 release, which is coming Friday, a new rumour suggested that the movie may get pushed to some other date but it is not true as per the latest learnings. As per the representatives of the movie, Sarfira is very much releasing on the same date as planned which is July 12, 2024. The reports that said that the film is postponed and will get a new release date were indeed false and there is no truth to whatever was reported. This means Akshay Kumar, Suriya, Sudha Kongara, and Radhika Madan fans can breathe a sigh of relief as the movie is not getting postponed and will be released on the announced days. Which is this Friday.
The source that spoke about the postponed rumors about Sarfira to Times Now, said that the makers are planning to push the film and Kalki 2898 AD has become unstoppable and that they did not want to brush shoulders with it. Additionally, even Hindustani 2 is releasing on July 12 and Akshay Kumar has had a low success rate at the Box office. But turns out this is not true and Sarfira will release on July 12.
