Shark Tank India’s Aman Gupta could definitely be called one of the coolest sharks in the tank. The fact that he managed to penetrate and find success in a market as volatile and risky as consumer electronics, serves as testimony to his business savviness and intellect. The co-founder and chief marketing officer of boAt lent his expertise to up-and-coming entrepreneurs on the show, through investments, criticisms and admiration, whenever needed. Gupta appeared in almost 30 episodes of the show, and invested in a range of startups from fashion brands to technology. Here is a list of the startups, Gupta made a deal with:

Bummer

Bummer is an innerwear brand that offers garments for men and women. The brand’s key selling points are that their products, which come in a variety of designs, are made from comfortable fabric and are sustainable. Gupta invested Rs 37.5 lakhs in the brand, which was founded in 2020, for 3.75% stake in it.

Skippi Ice Pops

This food and beverage brand, founded in 2020, offers popsicles in six flavours, touted to be much healthier than an average ice pop. The company claims that they do not use preservatives nor do they add artificial flavours in their products. Gupta invested Rs 20 lakhs for 3% stake in the venture.

Get-A-Whey

Touted as one of the first ice cream brands in the country that offers a healthy version of the dessert, Get-A-Whey was started in 2018. Their ice creams are protein-rich, keto-friendly and contain no added sugar. Gupta invested Rs 33.3 lakhs for an equity of 5%.

AyuRythm

A holistic wellness brand, AyuRythm offers an online platform, wherein users can get personalised suggestions related to yoga, meditation and food. It also offers services to help users achieve their wellness goals. For a stake of 2.68%, Gupta offered Rs 75 lakhs as investment.

Peeschute

Marketed as a ‘handy’ toilet, this company offers a product that users can use to urinate when a washroom or toilet is unavailable. The product comes in the form of a paperbag that users can urinate into, which solidifies the waste in a leak proof, odourless bag. Gupta invested Rs 75 lakhs for 6% equity.

Beyond Water

A brand which provides hydration solutions, Beyond Water was founded in 2020. Their ‘water enhancers’ claim to contain natural ingredients, come in different flavours and have added vitamins. The company got an investment worth Rs 37.5 lakhs from Gupta for a 7.5% share in their venture.

Bluepine Foods

Founded in 2016, its founder Aditi Madan is popular by the nickname of Momo Mami. Through its brand named Yangkiez, the company sells frozen momos and the brand was featured in the very first episode of the show. Gupta invested Rs 25 lakhs for 5.3% stake in the company.

Altor

Founded in 2018, Altor is a company that provides smart helmets aimed at enhancing riders’ safety. The helmets contain a host of features such as detecting accidents, bluetooth, charging smartphones, hands-free navigation and tracking. Gupta invested Rs 25 lakhs for a stake of 3.5%.

Nuutjob

A personal grooming and hygiene brand, Nuutjob provides a range of products for men’s hygiene. Founded last year, the company’s products are aimed to help with irritation, sweating, and bad odour in the intimate body parts. For a stake of 6.6%, Gupta provided Rs 8.33 lakhs funds.

InACan

Started in 2020, InACan is a beverage company that offers ready to serve cocktails in a can. Crafted from the company’s own distilleries, the cocktails are low-calorie drinks. For a stake of 2%, Gupta invested Rs 20 lakhs.

In addition to the companies mentioned above, Gupta also made investments in Farda Clothing, Ariro, Raising Superstars, Revamp Moto, Growfitter, Chargeup, Hammer, Loka, Beyond Snack, EventBeep, Meatyour, The Yarn Bazaar, COCOFIT, Let’s Try Foods, Find Your Kicks India, Brainwired, Namhya Foods, Jain Shikanji, The Renal Project, WickedGud, Freecultr, 10Club, Shiprocket and Anveshan.
