12B is a romantic drama starring Simran, Jyothika and Shaam in the lead roles, directed by Jeeva. The film uses dual narrative method, depicting what would happen if the protagonist misses the bus or not. Both Jyothika and Simran played love interests in the film, which was critically acclaimed and went on to become one of the classic romantic dramas in Tamil. The film is loosely based on the 1998 British-American romantic drama Sliding Doors.
Directed by Gautham Menon, Vaaranam Aayiram stars Suriya, Simran, Sameera Reddy, Ramya and others. The film follows the life of a son who comes to know about his father’s demise and recollects the moments spent with him. Simran played the role of mother, who captivated the audience with her poise and onscreen presence.
