One of the most well-known filmmakers in Indian cinema today is Sriram Raghavan, whose extraordinary narrative skills and distinct style of delivering suspenseful thrillers have enthralled the audience. He has given us several visually stunning films that explore the complexities of psychological drama, crime, and suspense. Raghavan made his directorial debut with 'Johnny Gaddaar' in 2007 and since then he has been successful in giving us films, stamped with his unique style of filmmaking.

As his latest film, Merry Christmas, starring Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, hit the theatres on 12th January, which we loved by the way, let's take a look at the best thriller movie of director Sriram Raghavan and where you can watch them on OTT.

Johnny Gaddaar on Prime Video

Vikram, aka Johnny, makes his gang members become victims of his ravenous desire. Even though his killings are explained as being driven by a deranged love for his partner's wife, the movie does not hold back in showing the horror of what he does and the unavoidable fallout. Neil Nitin Mukesh made his debut with Johnny Gaddaar, alongside Dharmendra, Zakir Hussain, Rimi Sen, Vinay Pathak, Govind Namdeo, Dayanand Shetty, and Ashwini Kalsekar. At the box office, the movie was a sleeper smash and received praise from critics. This Sriram Raghavan directorial was eventually remade as 'Unnam' in Malayalam, 'Kamina' in Telugu, and 'Johnny' in Tamil.

Ek Hasina Thi on Prime Video

The 2004 Hindi-language neo-noir thriller, Ek Hasina Thi, was produced by Ram Gopal Varma and directed by Raghavan. Saif Ali Khan (Karan) and Urmila Matondkar (Sarika) play the key roles. The film borrows elements from the Sidney Sheldon story 'If Tomorrow Comes'. Witnessing Sarika's evolution from an initially helpless and naive character into a cold-blooded avenger was what amplified the film's excitement and made it unforgettable. Saif Ali Khan as a cunning and vicious character added an extra layer of terror.

Agent Vinod on Prime Video

Sriram and Saif collaborated once again with Agent Vinod, but this time their method misfired. It is the only Sriram Raghavan movie to date without the director's signature pulse, maybe due to the director's attempt to make the film more of a camp movie than a franchise. Even though many may no longer remember Agent Vinod, the movie's soundtrack and a few well-written scenes live on in people's memories.

Andhadhun on Prime Video

Andhadhun narrates the story of a blind pianist who inadvertently becomes involved in a yesteryear actor's murder. Tabu, Ayushmann Khurrana, Radhika Apte, and Anil Dhawan play key roles. Sriram Raghavan directed the film and co-wrote it with Arijit Biswas, Pooja Ladha Surti, Yogesh Chandekar, and Hemanth M Rao. The film was full of surprises and had outstanding performances from Tabu and Ayushmann. The movie also benefited from Amit Trivedi's score, which gave it a lighthearted tone without becoming too dark for audiences. Andhadhun is Sriram Raghavan's most profitable movie, which took home three National Awards and made over Rs 450 crore globally.

Badlapur on Prime Video

Badlapur is based on the novel Death's Dark Abyss by Italian writer Massimo Carlotto. The film stars Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, along with Huma Qureshi, Yami Gautam, Radhika Apte, Kumud Mishra, Divya Dutta, and Vinay Pathak. Sriram Raghavan directed the film, while Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla produced it. The movie was released on February 20, 2015, to largely favorable reviews from critics. When pushed to the limit, Badlapur descends into the depths of human insanity. It remains Sriram's most violent and vicious movie.
