Merlapaka Gandhi, known for his comedy entertainers like Venkatadri Express, Express Raja and Maestro, decided to helm a relatively small-budget film featuring budding actors this year. We're talking about Like, Share & Subscribe, the thriller-comedy featuring Santosh Shobhan and Faria Abdullah in the lead roles. The film jointly backed by Aamuktha Creations and Niharika Entertainment (the makers of Shyam Singha Roy) released in theatres in the first week of November.

After its theatrical run, Like Share & Subscribe is gearing up for its OTT premiere. SonyLIV has acquired its streaming rights and will premiere the film on December 9. The streamer, announcing the same, had also released a new trailer of the film. The story revolves around two travel vloggers, Viplav and Vasudha, who are in Araku to film content for their social media handles and gradually fall in love with another. However, they're caught amidst a fight between the naxals and the police.

The film earned negative feedback from critics and audiences alike and only lasted in theatres for a brief time. Now, it remains to be seen if Like Share & Subscribe will get its due on the streaming platform. With cinematography by A Vasanth, the film has music by Praveen Lakkaraju and Ram Miryala. Edited by Ram, the crew of the project comprises art director Avinash Kolla, costume designer Neeraja Kona, stunt directors Venkat and Ramakrishna. Brahmaji, Sudarshan, Naren Mime Gopi, Govind Padmasurya, Sapthagiri and Shubhaleka Sudhakar play other key roles.

Srimani, Penchaldas and Gorati Venkanna have penned the lyrics for the album. Faria Abdullah, the film's lead, was earlier part of Jathi Ratnalu in addition to special appearances in Most Eligible Bachelor and Bangarraju. Santosh Shobhan's other films include Ek Mini Katha, Manchi Rojulochaie, Golconda High School and he was also seen in aha's web show Baker and the Beauty.
