The wait is finally over. Fans of Pan India star Vijay Deverakonda are ringing in the New Year early with Liger's first glimpse. Filmmaker Puri Jagannadh presents Vijay Deverakonda in a never-before-seen stylish and action avatar in this crazy Pan India project. In the first glimpse of the film, an MMA commentator introduces Deverakonda as Liger, giving the character all the attention it deserves. He is heard saying, "Introducing the boy from India... Slumdog Of The Streets Of Mumbai, The Chai Wala... Liger..."

The video has the dashing star saying two brief yet powerful lines. "We are Indians," he says, and indeed makes entry while wearing an Indian flag. The other dialogue, "Vaat Lagaa Denge," describes his aggressive demeanour with a roaring voice.

The teaser is jam-packed with thrilling stunt sequences. While the entire focus is on Deverakonda, who appears in a never-before-seen stylish avatar, the actor has had a massive makeover and looks like a beast with chiselled abs and completely new cornrows hairdo with a ponytail.

As per the teaser, the film is about a Mumbai Slumdog who becomes a champion in the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) sport. Vijay's punches are brimming with venom, and there's an adrenaline rush just from seeing the glimpse for the fans.

Ramya Krishna played Deverakonda's mother, and Ronit Roy played his coach. As of now, there's no glimpse of Ananya Panday or Mike Tyson as of yet.

The film has been extensively shot in the streets of Mumbai and parts of the US, including Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

Liger is co-produced by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in collaboration with Jagannadh's Puri Connects and Charmme Kaur. The Pan India Movie, which is being released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam, is set to hit the big screens worldwide on August 25, 2022.
