The Telugu version of the romantic comedy, LGM, (Let's Get Married) is all set to release in theatres worldwide on August 4. The Telugu rights have been bagged by distributor Pawan Kumar. The film stars Harish Kalyan, Ivana and Nadiya Moidu in the lead and is directed by debutant Ramesh Thamilmani, who is known for the graphic novel, Atharva: The Origin, which featured Dhoni as a superhero.

LGM marks the maiden outing of Dhoni Production, which is spearheaded by MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi Dhoni. The film has been originally made in Tamil. A spokesperson from the production house had said, "Thala Dhoni really enjoyed LGM. He watched the film recently and found it to be a clean film that one could watch with their entire family. Though it was Mrs Dhoni's concept, Thala was the one who told us that we start our maiden production with a Tamil film, due to his love for the people here and their love for him."

The Tamil version, which hit screens on July 28, opened to negative reviews with many trashing the film for its badly written plot and weak screenplay. OTTplay critic P Sangeetha wrote, "Director Ramesh Thamilmani's LGM is so uninteresting and exasperating due to its weak screenplay, poorly etched characters, cliches and forced humour that you soon run out of patience. In short, his debut film, LGM is what one would call Thala's worst innings till date!"

The plot revolves around a young woman who proposes a trip with her future mother-in-law in an attempt to get to know her better. Harish Kalyan plays a character stuck between his mother and girlfriend. The film's director Ramesh Thamilmani has also composed the music. Cinematography is by Viswajith Odukkathil and editing is by Pradeep E Ragav.

Spokesperson from Dhoni Entertainment says that the makers plan to make more films in Tamil and that talks are on for the same.
