Leo: Theatre booking for Thalapathy Vijay's film in the UK to begin six weeks ahead of its release

The makers of Prabhas-starrer Salaar opened their advance booking in the US theatres a few days ago, and the numbers are quite encouraging. The action drama has already grossed over 3 crores in ticket sales. Taking a leaf out of the same, team Leo has also planned something similar.

The movie is slated for a huge release in four languages on October 19. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, it stars Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun among others in key roles. Seven Screen Studio has produced the big budget project which is riding on high expectations.

Leo's UK booking begins soon

The makers have decided to start the ticket booking for theatres in the UK from September 7, almost six weeks ahead of its release. Ahimsa Entertainment, which has bagged Leo's theatrical rights in the UK, claims this is the first time in India that a movie's booking in a territory is going to open much in advance.

If the response turns out to be positive, other locations, too, are likely to follow suit. This is expected to ensure a huge opening for the movie worldwide. 

Fans shows selling like hotcakes in Kerala

The movie's fans shows in Kerala are witnessing a tremendous demand among moviegoers. Leo is expected to register the all-time record opening for any movie on day one in the state. Dulquer's new release King of Kotha was supposed to achieve a new record, but it failed to do so.

Yash's KGF 2 currently holds the record in Kerala; it has grossed more than seven crores on its first day. Fans of Vijay are confident that Leo might touch the magical figure of 10 crores. They are sure that this would be a cakewalk if the star visits the state as part of promotional activity.
