Leo: Thalapathy Vijay's Naa Ready song budget revealed

Tamil superstar, Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming movie Leo is one of the most awaited movies of 2023. The production of the movie is going non-stop and is being made on a big budget. So much so that producer Lalit Kumar had no qualms about doling out a massive budget just for a single song named Naa Ready. 

Naa Ready will be the first single that will be released from the movie's music album, which is scored by composer Anirudh Ravichander. Director-writer Lokesh Kanagaraj earlier this week revealed that the song will be out on June 22, coinciding with Vijay's birthday.

Lalit Kumar said that Naa Ready will be as big a hit as Vaathi Coming while hinting at how much he has spent filming it. "I only got to know this a few days ago. We planned this song sequence for eight days with 2000 people. The budget for this song was huge. Sir requested Dinesh Master to complete the song within 7 days to reduce the cost. He even said he was ready to shoot extra hours without a break to complete the song as soon as possible. And we finished that song one day before the schedule. Because of that, I managed to save about Rs 1 crore," Lalit said at an event recently. 

The producers' dedication to the song's production is evident, as it is estimated that they were spending a staggering Rs 1 crore per day, totaling Rs 7 crore for the entire sequence.

Besides Vijay, Leo boasts of an ensemble cast that includes Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mansoor Ali Khan, Sandy Master, and Mathew Thomas among others. In addition, Lokesh has also roped in some popular YouTubers for cameo appearances. 

Leo is due in cinemas in October this year.
