If the latest buzz on social media is to go by, Thalapathy Vijay's upcoming film, Leo is all set to release in two parts. We hear that the conclusion of the first part will give a sneak peek into the sequel, which in turn, is likely to release in 2025. An official confirmation is awaited.
It is to be noted that Lokesh Kanagaraj's films tend to have such open ends, a case in point is his last release Vikram, which introduced the character of Rolex towards the end of the film. His maiden venture, Maanagaram, too had a similar end. Though Kaithi didn't have an open ending, a sequel to the film is now in cards, thus hinting at extension of the story.
In the meantime, the patchwork for Leo is happening at a brisk pace in Kashmir. The schedule is likely to span seven days after which the team will move to post-production.
Leo marks the sophomore project of the hit combo Lokesh Kanagaraj and Thalapathy Vijay after their maiden outing, Master (2021). The film is one of the most awaited projects of the year and is being made on a huge scale.
The film has a star-studded cast which includes Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautham Menon, Babu Antony, Mathew Thomas, to name a few.
Meanwhile the first look of Sanjay Dutt as Antony Das recently took the internet by storm. The video hinted at an LCU as an eagle is seen in the backdrop. The first look of Arjun Sarja is likely to be out on his birthday on August 15.
Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj. Two songs, which includes title song Bloody Sweet and Naan Ready sung by Thalapathy Vijay are already out.
Leo is directed by Seven Screen Studio and The Route. The film is gearing up for release on October 19.
