It's been three weeks since Thalapathy Vijay's latest outing Leo hit screens. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, dropped in theatres worldwide on October 19. The latest buzz is that the action entertainer is all set to drop on Netflix on November 16, after the mandatory four-week theatrical run. However, an official confirmation is awaited.
Leo continues to run in theatres
Despite the slew of Diwali races, including Jigarthanda Double X, Japan, Raid and Kida, releasing on the festive occasion, Leo continues to run in theatres. The added advantage is that Japan, one of the big releases of the week, has opened to negative reviews and hence its shows are expected to get reduced, which would then be taken over by Leo. Jigarthanda Double X has emerged as the box office winner this week. The film has already collected obver Rs 600 crore and some of the theatres are still screening the film.

Leo marks Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's sophomore project after their last outing Master (2021). The film also stars Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan to name a few.
Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj. The film is bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and The Route.
Vijay moves on to Thalapathy 68
In the meantime, Vijay has begun shooting for his next with Venkat Prabhu, which is tentatively being referred to as Thalapathy 68. The actor had recently wrapped a schedule in Thailand and has just returned to Chennai. Pictures and videos of the actor from the airport have been doing the rounds on social media.
Music for the film is by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Siddhartha Nuni and editing by Venkat Raajen. Thalapathy 68 is bankrolled by AGS Production marking their 25th project.
