Leo success meet: Thalapathy Vijay's 'kutty' story, Sandy's dance performance and more

All roads in Chennai lead to the Nehru stadium, where arrangements are underway to host a grand success celebration on November 1 for the latest Tamil blockbuster Leo. Starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead, this event will mark the first on-ground promotion for Leo.

For the uninitiated, the producers of this movie didn't really spend a lot of money to carry out ground-level promotions ahead of the movie's release. The movie caught the imagination of the audience even before it was formally launched. And it firmly dominated the news headlines since it went on the floors earlier this year.

Leo also became a subject of countless controversies, starting from the release of the Naa Read song, which showed Vijay's character smoking a cigarette. Later, the trailer for the movie sparked massive controversy and hogged the news debates on prime slots due to an expletive used by Vijay.

Leo continued to remain the controversy's favourite child even after release. It garnered mixed reactions from both critics and audiences alike. The audio release events of his movies were the only place where Vijay shared his thoughts about films, likes and dislikes, and challenges facing him. However, the much-awaited audio release event of Leo didn't take place leaving fans in disappointment. His speech is going to be the biggest highlight of this event.

Thalapathy's response to Leo controversies

Thalapathy Vijay has not responded to numerous controversies that plagued the movie before and after its release. He is expected to address these matters and share his feelings with the public at this event.

The 'kutty' story

Vijay always makes it a point to leave his fans with something to think about with his short fables. He calls them 'kutty' stories, which can be termed as one of the highly-awaited segments in his speech. And the producers have promised that he has one prepared for the Leo success meet too.

Sandy's dance performance

Choreographer-turned-actor Sandy has played a supporting role in Leo. In a recent interview, he revealed that he didn't have any plans to perform at the event. However, he later decided otherwise following a request from the producers' side. "I am giving a short performance. It's going to be a fusion of songs. It will be a big surprise. My performance will be dedicated to Vijay anna," said Sandy.

Anirudh Ravichander in the house

Of course, the Leo success event will be incomplete without a rockstar performance from Anirudh Ravichander, the movie's composer. He is expected to give a live vocal performance along with a team of dancers and musicians at the event.
