Leo: Permission granted for the success meet of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's film

It's official! Permission has been granted by the authorities to hold the success meet of Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's film, Leo. The event will be held at Nehru Stadium in Chennai on November 1.

The guidelines for the event
The latest we hear is that only 200-300 cars will be allowed at the venue. To avoid blockage of roads and congestion, there is no permission for those travelling by buses. Only the said number of people bearing tickets will be allowed inside the venue. And the tickets should not exceed the seating limit at Nehru Stadium. The event also needs to be wrapped up on time.

Audio launch of Leo was cancelled
Earlier, the audio launch of the film, which was supposed to be held at the same venue on September 30, was cancelled. There were rumours about political interventions in the ground-level promotions of the film in the state. However, the producers stated that there was no such reason.

Their tweet on social media read, "Considering overflowing passes requests & safety constraints, we have decided not to conduct the Leo Audio Launch. In respect of the fans' wishes, we will keep you engaged with frequent updates. P.S. As many would imagine, this is not due to political pressure or any other reasons (sic)."

 It is to be noted that a few weeks before the audio release, a concert by AR Rahman had attracted an uncontrollable crowd, which led to overcrowding, stampede and incidents of molestation.

Leo opens to packed houses
Meanwhile, the film starring Thalapathy Vijay has been running to packed houses. The film, however, has received mixed reviews from the critics and audience alike. Leo marks Lokesh's sophomore project with Vijay after Master. The film stars Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mysskin, Gautham Menon to name a few. The film is bankrolled  by Seven Screen Studio and The Route.
