Thalapathy Vijay's latest outing Leo is now streaming on Netflix. The film dropped on the platform at 12.30 pm and is now screening in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada & Hindi. However, the global digital premiere is all set to happen on November 28.
Leo hit screens on October 19 and opened to packed theatres across the world. The film was one of the most-awaited projects of Vijay and his sophomore project with Master director, Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Leo features Thalapathy in a dual role
While one character of the Thalapathy is that of a family man Parthiban, who runs a cafe in Kashmir. However, things take a twisty turn when his looks grab the eyeballs of from a drug cartel. When they claim that he is part of the gang, it leads to the story of Leo Das, a lookalike of Parthiban. Will Parthiban be able to get away from the clutches of the cartel?
An ensemble star cast
Leo is a star-studded affair with Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Madonna Sebastian, Priya Anand, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Sandy Master, Mathew Thomas and Mansoor Ali Khan as part of the star cast. The film, which is loaded with violence, is said to be inspired by A History of Violence (2005), an adaptation of the graphic novel of the same name.
Technical crew
Anirudh Ravichander's album in the film has turned out to be a massive hit with the songs Naan Ready (sung by Vijay himself), Bloody Sweat, Badass and Anbenum turning out to be chartbusters. While the cinematography is by Manoj Paramahamsa, editing is by Philomin Raj. Stunt choreography is by the popular brother duo AnbArivu. The film is bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and The Route.
The satellite rights have been acquired by Sun TV and we hear that the film might have its television premiere on the occasion of Pongal, 2024.
