Leo: Gautham Menon reveals Lokesh Kanagaraj's warning, his acting experience with Thalapathy Vijay

Filmmaker Gautham Menon is the latest among the directors who are emerging as promising character actors in Tamil cinema. Gautham is part of the star cast of several big-budget films, including Leo. Starring Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role, the film is written and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. 

Gautham essays a key role in the mus-awaited movie. When Gautham attended an event in Chennai, the crowd compelled him to reveal an update about the movie. Instead, Gautham shared the standard instructions that he received from the director. It seems Lokesh Kanagaraj has issued a decree against any out-of-the-turn announcements, barring the cast and crew from sharing any updates.

"My friend Lokesh Kanagaraj is very strict. He said, 'sir, people will ask for update, don't say anything. If they insist, tell them the shoot went very well. In fact, the shoot was really good. Everyone knows that the Kashmir schedule is over and the new schedule is about to begin. It was amazing to be with Thaplathy," said Gautham. 

The cast and crew shot Leo extensively in Kashmir for more than 50 days. Earlier this week, the Kashmir schedule was completed. The filmmakers released a behind-the-scenes video as a token of their gratitude for the crew members, who worked through the punishing weather conditions of Kashmir to complete the schedule on time. "Massive respect to the cast and crew of #LEO who worked really hard no matter what, in the process of entertaining people. This tribute is for you all #TheCrewBehindLEO #KashmirScheduleWrap," Lokesh tweeted. 

Leo is being mounted on a huge budget under the Seven Screen Studio banner. The movie has a huge star cast, including Vijay, Gautham, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun, Priya Anand, and Mysskin to name a few. 

Leo is due in cinemas on October 19.
