Leo, which was released amid unprecedented expectations a week ago, received above average reviews and opened to humongous numbers on its first day worldwide. The makers officially declared that it earned 148.50 crores, making it the biggest opener in Indian cinema in 2023.
Since then, many numbers started doing the rounds on social media irrespective of the occupancy it registered in various territories. Cinephiles have been eager to know if the film would outdo Jailer's final collection, which is more than 600 crores. The Rajinikanth-starrer's final figures weren't revealed by the makers.

Team Leo has now left everyone surprised by coming up with the latest figures. According to a tweet posted by Seven Screen Studio, which produced the action drama, it has collected 461 crores in a week worldwide. They also claimed that it is the biggest grosser in the history of Tami cinema, considering only seven days of theatrical run.
Fans are now curious to know when the team will come up with the next update. Will it take a week more or will the makers spring a surprise in one of the coming days?
Going great guns in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and overseas
As per various sources, Leo's collection in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and a few overseas locations is steady. Several new records will be created in these territories after its final run. However, its performance in Telugu states and Karnataka is said to have witnessed a dip.
Despite not having a good release in the Hindi market, the film has earned decent money there. The OTT window for the movie stopped the makers from exploring its potential in the Hindi market.
