Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram has been topping the charts ever since it was released on Netflix. Now that more people have watched the film, there are more complaints about the Trivirkram directorial. The popular director is being trolled for making such an ordinary with a star like Mahesh Babu.
If this was not enough, legendary writer, Paruchuri Gopala Krishna has slammed the film and has trolled the director Trivikram for making such a poor film. The star writer runs a YouTube channel and in one of its podcasts, he slammed Mahesh Babu for doing the film and said it is surely not in his range and he should have avoided it. Right from the title to the plot, Gopala Krishna revealed a lot of mistakes from the film.
He said that the film should have been titled Guntur Vaari Abbayi as the film deals with mother sentiment. Also, he added that a small idea like taking a signature from a son such that his mother would become a minister, should be dealt with a lot of sentiment. "The characters have no arc and there is a lot of cheating in the film' says Gopala Krishna.
Guntur Kaaram is about a son played by Mahesh Babu who is abandoned by his mother as she aims at a political career. All she wants is to get a signature from her son stating he will not come her way and ask for the property at a later point in time. Such a subject was showcased in a very ordinary manner and was trolled by the fans and audience.
There is no denying the fact that it is only because of Mahesh Babu's performance the film ended as an average fare at the box office. Mahesh Babu played the mass role of Ramana and his performance was loved by one and all. Thaman scored the music for this film which had Sreeleela as the heroine. Prakash Raj played the main villain in this film.
From day one, Guntur Kaaram was trolled for its ordinary content and the film saw a new low when it was out on Netflix under one month after its release which is a rare case for any Mahesh Babu film. On the other hand, fans of Mahesh Babu are trolling the writer for his bold comments against a big star like Mahesh Babu.
