Sivakarthikeyan had an impressive start to 2024 with the success of Ayalaan. The actor has already begun shooting for his next film, which is tentatively titled SK 23 (tentative title). The latest from the film is that the team has begun shooting for the second schedule in Puducherry today (March 13). No sooner did the shooting begin that BTS pictures from the set began circulating on social media. And one viral picture of the cast and crew has caught the attention of netizens.

The picture is that of Sivakarthikeyan and his leading lady, Rukmini Vasanth, along with director AR Murugadoss. They seem to be rehearsing a scene at what appears to be a college cafeteria. While Rukmini's look is simple, Sivakarthikeyan sports stylish hair and a beard, and he also seems to have a small injury on his forehead. Fans are impressed with the actor’s "crazy transformation," as he looks visibly bulked up. We are not sure if the actor is playing a college student in the film. But going by his look, Sivakarthikeyan sure looks set to make a powerful appearance in this AR Murugadoss directorial.
Acting coach Rajesh Balachandiren spills the beans on SK 23
Although the makers of SK 23 have remained tight-lipped about the story of the film, acting coach Rajesh Balachandiren, who is currently training Sivakarthikeyan for the film, said that SK 23 is different from Sivakarthikeyan’s biopic Amaran. “As acting coaches, all we can do is aid talented actors with the subtle aspects of their performances that are necessary for the screenplay. There is not much I can say about SK 23. All I can tell is that Sivakarthikeyan's performance will seem brand-new and that the screenplay is unique, but I am not allowed to disclose anything about it. What I can say is that it is different from Amaran for sure,” the acting coach revealed.'
Interestingly, Sivakarthikeyan had earlier said that SK 23 would give him more scope to perform.
SK 23 to be released during Diwali 2024?
Reports suggest that SK 23 is likely to be released during Diwali 2024. Given that the release date of Sivakarthikeyan's other film, Amaran, hasn't been announced yet, not much can be speculated about SK 23's release yet. It is to be noted that AR Murugadoss has his film with Salman Khan in the pipeline, which is to be released during Eid 2025. So, it is likely that the filmmaker will wrap up the shoot of SK 23 soon so that he can concentrate on his next project.
