Vidaamuyarchi - Netflix (March 3)
Vidaamuyarchi is an action-drama film headlined by Ajith Kumar. The film is directed by Magizh Thirumeni and is adapted from Hollywood film Breakdown. The film revolves around a couple who take one last road trip together before filing for divorce. However, after their car breakdowns and the wife takes the life of a friendly couple they met on their way, her disappearance stirs more trouble. Trisha, Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra and others are part of the film.
Kudumbasthan – ZEE5 (March 7)
Kudumbasthan is a family drama. The film is directed by Rajeshwar Kalisamy who penned the script and screenplay along with actor Prasanna Balachandran, who has also appeared in the film. It revolves around a man who is the sole breadwinner of his family and how him losing his job, creates a series of troubles. Actors Saannve Megghana, Guru Somasundaram, R Sundarajan, Prasanna Balachandran, Kanakamma, Jenson Diwakar and others are part of the film.
Rekhachithram – SonyLIV (March 7)
Rekhachithram is a Malayalam crime thriller film directed by Jofin T Chacko, and stars Asif Ali, Anaswara Rajan, Siddique, Indrans and others. The film revolves around a SHO who is investigating a suicide case which leads him to the disappearance of young girl at the filming location of 1985 film Kathodu Kathoram. The film will be available for streaming in Tamil.
Kingston – Theatres (March 7)
Kingston stars GV Prakash in the lead role, who is also scoring the music and co-producing the film. Kingston is tipped to be India’s first sea fantasy adventure film. Directed by debutant Kamal Prakash, the film stars Divya Bharathi as the female lead.
Gentlewoman – Theatres (March 7)
Gentlewoman is an upcoming Tamil film with Losliya Mariyanesan, Lijomol Jose and Hari Krishnan in the lead roles. It is directed by Joshua Sethuraman in his debut. The film revolves around two women who come from different lifestyles, as their lives get entwined because of disappearance of one man.
Yamakaathaghi – Theatres (March 7)
Yamakaathaghi is a supernatural mystery thriller directed by debutant Peppin George Jayaseelan. The film revolves around a funeral of a young woman whose spirit refuses to leave the house. Actors Roopa Koduvayur, Geetha Kailasam, Narendra Prasath, and others are part of the cast.
Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum – Aha Tamil (ongoing)
Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum is an ongoing web series. Starring Kanna Ravi and Angelin in the lead roles, it is a perfect blend of comedy, emotions, and Tamil culture. Set against the vibrant backdrop of Tamil Nadu, Madurai Paiyanum Chennai Ponnum is a heartwarming rom-com that explores the cultural and personal differences between a Madurai boy and a Chennai girl. The romantic comedy-drama series is directed by Vignesh Pazhanivel.
