This Dasara, two big films, both in terms of cast and scale of making, vie for supremacy at the box office. One is a Kannada original that is going pan-India, while the other is a Tamil film that will have a limited Kannada version release as well. On OTT, the confirmed releases are not Kannada originals, but films that deserve a watch. There is a rumour that a recent Kannada hit film may just make it to OTT this weekend, but that’s not been officially confirmed.

Here's a look at the films, both Kannada original and dubbed that will be in theatres or on OTT in the week of October 7 to October 13.

Golden Star Ganesh’s hit film, Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi, does not have an official OTT release yet, but the buzz in industry circles is that the streamer that has picked up the rights will look at capitalizing on the positive buzz it has. Earlier this week, Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi celebrated 50-days at the box office, and its theatrical run is nearing its end, so the streaming date may not be far off.

Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi is a love story that owes much of its success to its blockbuster soundtrack by Arjun Janya. Most of the songs were superhits, especially Dwapara.
