Latest Kannada OTT releases (January 20 – January 26) - Here is the list of what you can stream on various digital platforms or watch in theatres this week.

The new year has not been great for Kannada cinema at the box office. From outright wash-outs to average occupancy, it’s been a mixed bag, but with nothing to cheer about. This week, there are three Kannada films in theatres – two thrillers and a commercial entertainer – all of which will depend on word-of-mouth publicity to make a dent at the box office.
As far as OTT releases go, there’s no news of any Kannada original film being available this week. There are, however, a couple of dubbed titles that maybe of interest.
Here’s a look at the films – Kannada original and dubbed – that will be available in theatres and on OTT in the week of January 20 to January 26
Rudhra Garuda Purana
Rishi is Inspector Rudhra, a cop called in to investigate a mysterious case that has baffled the department. The son of a sitting MLA goes missing, last scene boarding a bus with his girlfriend. A week later, there is no trace of the boy and Rudhra has to piece together what happened to him. When it then turns out that the bus the boy allegedly got on has not been in service for 25 years, the mystery deepens. The film is directed by KS Nandeesh.

Forest
A dense forest conceals a hidden treasure, drawing five villagers into a humorous and action-packed hunt. They must outsmart a notorious criminal and a ghost that is guarding the treasure. Will they find the treasure? On the cast of the film directed by Chandramohan are Aniish, Chikkanna, Gurunandan, Archan Kottige, Rangayana Raghu, among others.

Royal
Dinakar Thoogudeepa’s return to direction after Life Jothe Ondu Selfie, has Viraat in the lead, along with Sanjana Anand, while Chaya Singh plays his mother. According to the official synopsis, the film revolves around Krishna, a skilled con artist, is caught by the police and taken to the home of Siddarth, the chairman of SSF Company, who is in a coma. Realizing the company his mother helped build is on the verge of collapse, Krishna must now save it and fulfil her dreams.

Barroz
Malayalam superstar Mohanlal’s directorial debut, Barroz, which released for Christmas 2024 and was a box office dud is headed to OTT. The 3D film had Mohanlal in the title role as Barroz, a treasure guardian, who has been waiting for centuries to entrust it with the rightful heir of Da Gama. The Malayalam original film will have Kannada audio too.

Thiru Manickam
Director Nandha Periyasamy’s film with Samuthirakani in the lead is about a poor lottery vendor and his family. Samuthirakani is Manickam, who is burdened by family responsibilities, alll of which could be taken care of if he were to claim a lottery ticket he sold but was not paid for as his own. Will he stoop to that level or find another way around. The Tamil film will have a Kannada version as well.
