OTT platforms and theatres are set to bring a new slate of movies and web shows providing a variety of content in different genres and languages. From drama to comedy and action thrillers, the upcoming days are filled with content for everyone's liking. From Shraddha Kapoor-Rajkummar Rao's blockbuster film Stree 2 on OTT to Alia Bhatt-Vedang Raina's Jigra, here's a list of all the Hindi releases of the week.

Jigra (Theatres)

One of the most anticipated films of the year is Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina's upcoming film Jigra. The film is directed by Vasan Bala and co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Alia Bhatt’s Eternal Sunshine Productions. Written by Debashish Irengbam and Bala, it is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 11, 2024. The film delves into the life of a young woman who is on a mission to save her younger brother imprisoned in a foreign jail. 

Stree 2 (Prime Video)

After breaking multiple records at the box office, Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 is finally releasing on the OTT platform soon. After Stree, Vicky and his friends are now set to fight a new demon, Sarkata in the sequel and promises a lot of laughter with a lot of spooky scenes. The horror-comedy film will start streaming on Prime Video on October 11 and will be available to watch for free after being on the platform at a rented price. 

Khel Khel Mein (Netflix)

Khel Khel Mein revolves around a group of friends and their spouses who decide to play a game at their reunion only to find out shocking secrets about each other. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Aditya Seal and Pragya Jaiswal. The movie will be released on Netflix on October 9. 

Vedaa (ZEE5)

Helmed by Nikkhil Advani, Vedaa features John Abraham and Sharvari Wagh in the lead roles. The film clashed at the box office with two other big releases - Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao’s Stree 2 and Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein. It revolves around caste discrimination and social stereotypes and prejudices. The film is all set for its digital premiere on ZEE5 (OTTplay Premium). The movie is expected to drop around the special occasion of Dussehra on October 11 or 12.

Sarfira (Disney+ Hotstar)

Starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role, Sarfira is a story about a common man who dreams of starting his own airline. The film also stars Radhika Madan and Paresh Rawal and will release on Disney+ Hotstar on October 11.

Raat Jawan Hai (SonyLIV)

Raat Jawan Hai revolves around three best friends, who struggle to adjust to their new lives after becoming parents and try to find ways to keep their lives and friendships exciting. The show, which is set to stream on SonyLIV (OTTplay Premium) stars Barun Sobti, Priya Bapat, and Anjali Anand in the lead roles. It will start streaming on October 11. 

Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video (Theatres)

Starring Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video is a romantic comedy that follows a newly married couple whose lives turn upside down when they lose a tape that has their intimate moments from their first night. The film, directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa follows a comedy of errors. It will clash with Alia Bhatt's Jigra at the box office on October 11.
