The first-look poster of the upcoming Malayalam film Imbam has been released. The poster features Lalu Alex and Deepak Parambol, and Lalu is seen on a phone call with his nameplate on an office table, which indicates that he is the chief editor of a publication.
Along with Lalu, Meera Vasudev, Sivaji Guruvayur, Gilu Joseph, Darshana Surendran, Irshad, and Navas Vallikkunnu will also be seen in pivotal roles in the film. The cast also includes directors Lal Jose and Boban Samuel. Aparna Balamurali, the Malayalam actress who sang in Maheshinte Prathikaram and Sunday Holiday, has sung a song for Imbam.
Imbam is a comedy-drama
Imbam centres around Karunakaran (Lalu Alex), the owner of an old publishing house, and a young cartoonist who visits him. The story progresses through funny incidents that take place between the two characters. Kalesh Ramanand and Irshad Ali play the antagonists. Imbam was shot laregely in Kozhikode and Ernakulam. PS Jayhari, known for his songs in Athiran, has handled the music department of the film. Nijay Jayan is the cameraman, while Kuriakos Francis Kutasseril is the editor.
Lalu Alex returns to Malayalam films
Lalu Alex is back with a bang in Malayalam films after a hiatus. He has appeared in films like Mohanlal's Bro Daddy, Mahaaveeryar, and Gold in the recent past. Lalu was lauded for his performances in Bro Daddy and Mahaaveeryar. He will also be seen in Mammootty's upcoming film, Kaathal- The Core.

Meanwhile, Aparna Balamurali's upcoming projects include Ula, Mindiyum Paranjum, and Rudhiram in Malayalam. She will be seen along with Asif Ali in the upcoming family drama Kishkindha Kaandam that is helmed by Dinjith Ayyathan
